Starting and ending in Johannesburg, this 4 day classic tour showcases the highlights of Mpumalanga, including the unique bush experience of a private game lodge as well as the stunning scenery of the Panoramic Route. Classic tours are operated in smaller luxury vehicles and smaller groups.
DAY 1 SUN JOHANNESBURG - MPUMALANGA
From Johannesburg your tour heads east to Mpumalanga Place Where The Sun Rises', via the historic towns of Witbank, Dullstroom and Lydenburg. Travel over the Robbers Pass on to the quaint mining town of Pilgrims Rest where you will have a short stop. Visit the Lone Creek Waterfalls before arriving at your elegant hideaway for the night.
DAY 2 MON PANORAMA ROUTE
After an early morning breakfast, enter the Panorama Route featuring the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondawels, Bourke's Luck Potholes and Mac Mac Waterfalls. Arrive in time for afternoon tea, followed by your evening game drive in an open safari vehicle. Return to the lodge for dinner under the stars (weather permitting). [BD]
DAY 3 TUES KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
After an early morning bush walk or game drive and breakfast, leave the lodge and enter the world famous Kruger National Park, unrivalled for its diversity of flora, fauna and bird life, seeking the Big 5. The Kruger National Park is a paradise for the wildlife enthusiast, offering superb game viewing opportunities. Arrive at your overnight destination late afternoon. [BD]
DAY 4 WED MPUMALANGA - JOHANNESBURG
After an early breakfast, your journey to Johannesburg begins with a short game drive in the Kruger National Park in your closed vehicle. Exit the park and drive through Nelspruit to Machadodorp to arrive in Johannesburg where the tour ends. [B] Passengers may disembark at Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport, on request.
